With the digital album TRUE, Klaus Spencker releases his first production as a soloist.

The Hannover based jazz guitarist and composer showcases a lesser known facet of his musical producing.

On the six tracks he experiments with the tonal possibilities of the guitar – electronically alienated and expanded. The result is free, improvised music, created live without overdubs.

Klaus Spencker makes his known lyricism and minimalistic esthetics audible in a new way, creating seldom heard soundscapes and stories.

Spencker’s music is influenced by the wideness, the light and the harsh climate of the North. It is an answer to a short-dated and fast moving world and a timeless quiet zone for the inclined listener.



Der in Hannover lebende Jazz-Gitarrist und Komponist zeigt hier eine noch wenig bekannte Seite seines musikalischen Schaffens.

In 6 Tracks werden die klanglichen Möglichkeiten der Gitarre neu ausgelotet, elektronisch-experimentell verfremdet und erweitert. Zu hören ist freie, improvisierte Musik, direkt und ohne Overdubs eingespielt.

Selten oder gar nicht gehörte Klanglandschaften und Geschichten, in denen die bekannte Lyrik und minimalistische Ästhetik von Klaus Spencker auf neue Art hörbar werden.

Die Musik ist geprägt von der Weite, dem Licht, dem rauen Klima des Nordens. Sie ist eine Antwort auf eine schnell- und kurzlebige Welt und eine zeitlose Ruhezone für jeden geneigten Zuhörer.
